We work in a number of different ways in order to attract and successfully appoint ‘quality’ candidates.

Contingency Recruitment

This is the most common approach, whereby we would take a full recruitment brief.
We would ideally meet with the client and visit the site/location the vacancy is for.

We would then prepare a 'candidate briefing document' (request an example) which would provide full details of the following; the company, the role, the person specification and the interview process.
This comprehensive document is shared with prospective candidates.

Typically, we would start with a long list, however we would then look to only send the best 3-5 CV’s for the role, allowing the client to benchmark but without wasting the client’s time with CV’s designed to just make up the numbers. 

Executive Search and Selection (Head Hunting)

This approach is typically used for senior / board level appointments as people at this level do not tend to register with recruitment companies.

We would arrange to meet with the client in order to take a full brief on the role and understand the person specification needs in order to search and select the ideal candidate.

We would then prepare a more indepth 'candidate briefing document' as per the above (request an example).
We would also prepare a target list of prospective companies and a target list of prospective candidates which we would share and agree with our client.

We would agree timeframes and the recruitment process.
Information would be managed in three stages; the long target list, the short list for interview, the short list for taking forward.

Our Network - We utilise our combined years of knowledge within recruitment to source candidates via referral, headhunting, networking, linkedin. This is a successful route with over 50% of people placed year on year being as a result of this pro-active approach.

Web Advertising - caterer.com, totaljobs.co.uk, caterersearch.com, cartwheel.co.uk, twitter.com; We have a presence on these websites where the majority of our vacancies are listed. This keeps us in touch with candidates who are currently ‘actively’ looking.

Industry Advertising - Periodically we run adverts in the Caterer & Hotelkeeper, Restaurant Magazine, FM World, FSM, Cost Sector Catering and EP Magazine which drive traffic to our own website.

Thomas InternationalWe are Thomas International qualified.

We and can offer various online tests, this is normally used as a tool from 2nd interview stage onwards. The various reports include:

  • Personal Profile Analysis
  • Strengths and Limitations
  • Training Needs Analysis
  • General Intelligence
  • Emotional Intelligence

We charge a nominal fee for using the profiling tool, however in order to keep the recruitment process via Cartwheel cost effective, we deduct this from the final placement fee.
