A fantastic new role for an Events Manager to join an Events Venue in West Surrey.
As Events Manager, you will manage two Event Executives and work closely with the General Manager and wider venue team.
The Events business is really growing and it will be a great time to join the company developing all new event opportunities. The venue has a number of different events throughout the week and weekend. A mix of corporate meetings and events, Summer and Christmas parties, award nights, mid-week weddings and a number of outdoor events.
You will creatively look for new opportunities to grow the business, handle all event enquiries, management of the permanent and casual team staff rotas, hours and holidays. Fully understand the workings and procedures of the venue event management system. Ensure that the team enter all the details of the event on the business event order. Be responsible for the running of the event and make spot checks on events being run by the team to ensure standards are being met. Work and maintain relationships with all of the preferred caterers who supply the catering and staffing for the events.
The Event Managers position is a great role for someone who has a minimum of one year’s management experience in either events operations or event office management.
The basic salary is between £35,000 – £40,000. Please note the role is based on working five days out of seven which may cover weekends and evenings.
