We are currently looking for a head Chef to lead the kitchen at a very prestigious Independent school in south east London.
As the head chef you will be working for a busy contract catering company who expect the highest standards. You will be providing catering services for the daily breakfast and lunch service for around 700 pupils . This role will suit a person who is looking to come into the education sector as a an existing head chef or somebody who is moving across as a head chef from B&I contract catering or somebody who is simply looking for a new challenge with a new company.
Your role will be to oversee with the daily operation and a hands on head chef to manage a team of around 8 staff reporting into the general manager at the main senior school. A head chef overseeing the prep school and day school for the secondary pupils Ideally somebody who has had the exposure previously and somebody who is capable of planning the menus with an eye on what is happening on the high St. A commercial background would be an advantage.
For the head chef your hours are Monday to Friday, straight day shifts and term time also. however the operation may require you to work the odd evening for hospitality events so some flexibility is required to meet the business requirements.
