Job Description

Our client is an independent contract catering company who operate business within the Midlands and North across education, B&I and commercial sites. They have developed an excellent reputation for customer service and focus on locally sourced fresh food.

They are looking to recruit an experienced multi-site Area Manager who will take responsibility for 17 primary schools across East and West Yorkshire. You will need to have experience of overseeing multi-site business within the education sector, ideally within primaries.

As Area Manager, you will report in to an established Regional Operations Manager who has been with the organisation a number of years. This is a front line role so it is essential that you have experience and a natural flair for forming strong relationships with multi-site clients and teams with diverse requirements. You will need to be competent in communication at all levels, as you will be the key link between your clients, your field based teams and head office functions such as Accounts, HR and purchasing.

Being an independently owner-operated business, their culture and style is fluid and not governed by process and policy, so again you will need to demonstrate you work effectively within this culture.

We are looking for a strong leader, someone who is passionate about people, food and service. You will need to have strong values when it comes to client delivery and will most certainly need to be into the detail.

  • good at forging and maintaining client relationships
  • strong on finance and report writing

  • experience at multi-site level within contract catering
